Dana Dyksterhuis

Dana Dyksterhuis is a co-founder of HERE: Here For You, For Them, which was created in London with a mission of “Building strong, peaceful, resilient hearts through the magic of being here.” HERE also partners with Family Support, Hammersmith & Fulham to bring yoga, mindfulness and brain-building pop- ups to London families. Dana is a recipient of the UK Government/Tech
Nation Exceptional Talent Visa in Digital Technology (one of 200 recipients worldwide in 2016), and was called a Seattle “Female Founder to Watch” by Women 2.0 for her startup work in Seattle. Her roots are in Omaha, where she graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in broadcast journalism, was a reporter with WOWT and a PR manager with Qwest Center Omaha. She and her co-founder, Jennifer Armstrong, are now establishing an Omaha base so they can bring the mission of HERE to the States.

Jennifer Armstrong is a child and family yoga instructor and co-founder of HERE: Here For You, For Them. She grew up in London, where she earned her master’s degree in educational and developmental psychology from the Institute of Education. After completing her master’s degree, Jen worked for four years as a family support worker, mentor, and teaching assistant, supporting young people and adults to achieve their full potential. Jen has received the 95-hour RCYT Children’s Yoga Teacher Training, 200-hour RYT Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow Yoga Teacher Training, 8-week MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) course with beingmindful.co.uk and is a trained facilitator in Roots of Empathy, The Parent Nurture Program, Teen Talk Parenting Program, Restorative Approaches, Motivational Interviewing, and Solutions Focused Therapy. Jen also helps lead the London team with implementing family yoga, mindfulness and brain-building sessions with our partners, Family Support, Hammersmith & Fulham.
